Well isn't Japan where all the games are invented or something? If that's true it makes perfect sense. I do agree though, I thought we were important people winning wars and such... -_-....

the beginning of the end

Within the depths of The World That Never Was a man, Hiayu, wandered. He discovered the existence of the black shadow creatures - the Heartless and the Nothings: the Nobodies. They disgusted him. They plagued him with their presence, slithering about his path and causing havoc. He found their superior beings, though unsure if they were Heartless or Nobodies. Either way, the men clad in black, Organization XIII, needed to be destroyed along with the Heartless and Nobodies.

Hiayu is not only a man, but a spell caster, a powerful one. He knows dark secrets and ways to conjure the unthinkable, all of this information kept hidden within the pages of his book. The spell master stationed himself in a crevice like cave on the outskirts of The World That Never Was. There, he created a disease of which to infect the Heartless with and, in turn, the Nobodies and Organization. And infected they became.

Once the Heartless came down with the disease, their normal, ravenous selves became slaves of destruction. They tore down everything in their path; eating away at anything; attacking buildings; and invading the Organization's headquarters relentlessly. Minor earthquakes shook the ground, tearing buildings and land to pieces.

Eventually, commanded by Xemnas, the lesser Nobodies were set out to kill the Heartless. However, as Hiayu planned, they only became infected along with the black creatures. They still fought with the Heartless in their diseased state, but they also attacked the area. Forced with no other option, the Organization fought back. They didn't seem to be effected by the disease. Perhaps it was their higher level of being, or existence, but the infection seemed to take no tole. The thirteen of them fought for days, forever creating barriers to ward off the creatures. They became exhausted, their energy summoned by sheer hope.

With the lack of Heartless in the worlds, the bulk of them gathering in The world That Never Was, Sora and his company searched for them. Confused to why the once endless abundance of creatures had vanished, they suspected the Organization as the source. And after all, they had no where else to look.

Upon arriving at The World That Never Was, the masses of Heartless were easily found by Sora and his company. With no inkling of why, they began to search the area. It soon came to their knowledge that the Organization was under attack by what they once controlled. With their enemy's new found weakness, the heroes decided to attack. This task was not easy. Neither Sora, nor anyone else could get within reach of the Organization. The Heartless, especially attracted to the Keyblade wielder, attacked in masses. It seemed as if Sora and his friends, too, were immune to the disease surrounding them. The Heartless and Nobodies crawled on top of each other, lunging themselves into battlefields, making it impossible for Sora to fulfill his plan of attacking the Organization.

And then, the Earthquake struck.

It was massive. It sent everyone flying off in different directions. Most were separated, many injured on impact and by falling debris (including Heartless and Nobodies). Buildings caved inward, crashing to smithereens, and trenches formed where the ground was bashed inward. Mostly everyone landed alone, now having to pick themselves up and carry on by themselves, tired and weak. If ever there was a map for The World That Never Was, that map would be useless now. Everything was in ruin, much of it blown from it's original place and unrecognizable. The new surroundings will make it hard for the companions to found each other and devise a plan and to survive.

Hiayu was also effected by the Earthquake, caught of guard, but in awe of the destruction his work had caused. Sadly, his most precious possession - his spell book, had been tossed from his arms. The book was strewn away from him in the Earthquake, pages beaten and ripped out of it. Managing to find the tattered thing, he longed to find its missing pages and attach them safely within its repaired cover.

Because of this desire, Hiayu is often away from his dwelling, accompanied by his creations in search of the lost pages.

If the others never learn of Hiayu's existence, they may never get this spell reversed, and may never return home - or in the Organization's case, reconstruct their current home or find a new home. The power of Darkness fails to live as of the spell's debut, portals unable to be summoned, and Nobodies and Heartless unable to be commanded. Something has to be done.
